Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elven Knight (ranked 4861 p4p, 6134 weight class) and Austin Tress (ranked 593 p4p, 700 weight class). Tress is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eye of the Tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Austin Tress!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight misses with a looping right.
Tress lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Knight looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Knight tests Tress's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knight throws a looping overhand right but Tress ducks down to avoid it.
Knight with a nice cross.
Tress pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knight misses with a straight right.
Knight connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Knight throws a shot from downtown. Tress moves away and avoids it.
Tress throws a counter combo.

Tress steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knight.

Tress moves into the clinch.
Knight lands a body shot.

Tress misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Knight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knight throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Knight digs a right hand into Tress's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tress's gas tank.
Tress creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Knight breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tress takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Austin Tress is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Knight looks to score with a jab to the body but Tress is just out of range.

Knight blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Knight lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tress or not.
Knight works on Tress's body with a couple of short punches.

Knight has Tress pushed against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Knight takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Knight throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tress stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Knight stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Knight slows down the pace here.

Knight gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Knight chips away with some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Knight tries to keep at a distance but Tress has taken the fight into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Tress throws an elbow but misses.
Come on Knight - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Elven Knight has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Knight gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Tress is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Knight presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knight on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Knight struggles to land a body shot inside as Tress controls his hands.
Knight cracks Tress with a nice body shot.
Tress is breathing heavily.

Knight manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Knight is leaning against Tress and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Knight is working for a kimura but Tress is defending it quite comfortably.
Knight is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tress!

Tress has given up his back. Will we see Knight going for some submissions?

Knight is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Tress won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Knight off his unconscious opponent!

Austin Tress was interviewed post fight and said 'time to take this loss and come back stronger'.
