Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Cholley (ranked 3226 p4p, 3580 weight class) and Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 355 p4p, 395 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cholley manages to avoid it.
Kokkoro Kirin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cholley throws a jab but it's blocked by Kirin.
Cholley has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JAG Battle Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Cholley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kirin.
Kirin throws a counter combo.
Kirin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kirin connects with a right hand. Cholley shakes it off.

It looks like Gerard Cholley has been cut.
Cholley avoids the body shot from Kirin.
Kirin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cholley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kirin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cholley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kirin moves away.

Cholley throws a hook but Kirin avoids it easily.
Cholley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Cholley is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kirin's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
