The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamda doesn't manage to clinch there - Turner circles away.
Turner unleashes a big counter combination but Hamda bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Hamda tries to clinch but Turner moves out of range.
Turner pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hamda is out of range and Turner settles back down.
Hamda with a lazy takedown attempt
and Turner counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hamda!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
