Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Apple (ranked 4663 p4p, 6045 weight class) and Kyle Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Apple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle Rose!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose misses with a takedown
and Apple counters with a left to the body.
Rose fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Apple avoids it really well and circles away.
Apple doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rose counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Rose throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apple's waist but Apple gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rose off to one side.

Rose rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Apple moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rose shoots in for a takedown but Apple shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rose leaves Apple with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Apple.
Apple just misses with a punch to the body.
Rose gets the takedown into side control.
Apple wants to get back to his feet but Rose is dominant here and he's now got Apple's back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
You can see the frustration on Apple's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rose fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Apple, pushing him back against the cage.

Apple is looking to control Rose's arms but Rose gets an underhook and turns him. Now Apple has his back to the cage.

Rose is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Apple is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rose is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Apple to the mat. Apple regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Apple stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rose wants to get back to his feet but Apple is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Apple drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rose manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Apple has Rose in his guard.

Rose has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Apple is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rose.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
