Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Camper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Happy Camper has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Happy Camper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson looks to land a left hand but Camper moved out of range nicely.
A jab from Hanson misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Hanson. That snapped Camper's head back.

Camper moves into range and clinches up with Hanson.

Camper is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hanson can't fight it off and eventually Camper manages to take the fight to the floor. Hanson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Camper wants to pass the guard but Hanson is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hanson controls Camper momentarily but Camper frees himself.

Hanson has his foot on Camper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Camper works his way back into a safe position though.

Camper trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Camper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hanson to the mat! Hanson manages to get full guard.
Hanson wants to sweep here but Camper controlling him for the moment.
Camper tries to free his leg and advance position but Hanson is retaining full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hanson is on top in guard.
Hanson is pushing down on Camper's leg trying to pass to half guard. Camper is fighting to maintain full guard but Hanson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Camper trying to control but Hanson postures up.
Camper wants to improve his position but Hanson is controlling well.

Hanson seems to be working for a kimura but Camper defends the submission attempt.

Camper is looking for a sweep. Hanson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hanson is looking to pass Camper's guard but actually Camper recovers to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Camper.

Camper rushes Hanson and presses him up against the cage.
Hanson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Camper jumps guard and drags Hanson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hanson wants to control from the top but Camper keeps moving.

Camper had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hanson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Camper Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hanson's back instead.
Camper is breathing heavily.
Hanson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
A lull in the action here.
Hanson trying to control the position but Camper manages to sink in the hooks.

Hanson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Camper gets his way!

Camper looking to break Hanson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hanson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Camper will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Happy Camper dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looks like Happy Camper has been cut.
Hanson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hanson cracks a nice hook into Camper's ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Camper is rocked!
Hanson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Camper's guard.
Oh Camper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hanson is working for a kimura but Camper is defending it quite comfortably.
Camper seems to have got his legs back now.
Hanson passes to side control.

Hanson is trying to get an arm triangle but Camper is defending well.

Hanson is looking to take a break and control but Camper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hanson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hanson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Camper keeps working.
Camper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Camper trying to hold on to Hanson's head to control him but Hanson postures up.
Camper wants to sweep but Hanson has passed to side control!
Hanson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Camper!
Hanson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Camper is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Camper regains half guard.

Hanson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hanson is looking to take a break and control but Camper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Camper tries to get to full guard but Hanson has control of the leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Camper looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hanson is stalling here. Camper is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hanson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Camper has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Steve Hanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Camper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Camper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hanson circles away.
Hanson catches Camper with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hanson dips to his left and cracks Camper with an uppercut!
Camper misses with an uppercut. Hanson saw that one coming.
Camper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hanson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hanson moves away from the strike by Camper.
Camper wants to clinch up but Hanson keeps it at a distance.
Hanson scores with a body shot.
Hanson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hanson scores with a one two! Camper had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hanson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Camper moves into the clinch successfully.
Hanson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hanson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hanson has had enough of the clinch but Camper keeps him there for the moment.
Hanson misses with a short punch on the inside.
Camper blocks an uppercut.
Camper tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hanson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Camper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Camper tries to pull guard but Hanson won't allow it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Camper stalls.
Hanson wants to stall.
Camper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hanson smiles and moves away.
Camper shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanson tries to sprawl out of it but Camper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hanson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hanson misses with a straight left.
Steve Hanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Camper gets the takedown into side control.
Hanson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Camper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Camper wants to control but Hanson is keeping him busy.

Camper drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hanson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Camper has Hanson in his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Hanson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hanson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
