Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Eleosida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Belanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eleosida comes to the cage accompanied by Get Your Walk On - Xzibit. On his way into the cage it seems that Nathan Eleosida has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nathan Eleosida seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Belanger.
Belanger moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Eleosida listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Belanger tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Eleosida is able to avoid easily.
Belanger throws a low kick but it's checked well by Eleosida.

Eleosida throws a series of punches but Belanger avoids them all with ease.
Eleosida's corner calls for a 1-2. Eleosida obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nathan Eleosida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eleosida darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Belanger is looking to escape.

Belanger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eleosida's guard.

Eleosida wants to improve his position but Belanger is controlling well.
Belanger wants to free his trapped foot but Eleosida is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Eleosida uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Belanger.
Belanger feints and then cracks Eleosida's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Eleosida down.

Eleosida will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Belanger throws a sloppy head kick and Eleosida moves out of range easily.
Eleosida uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Belanger.
Belanger will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Belanger drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Eleosida throws a nice looking combination but Belanger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Eleosida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belanger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Belanger lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Eleosida has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Eleosida and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Eleosida closes the distance and clinches up with Belanger, looking for a takedown. Eleosida pushes Belanger against the cage but Belanger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Eleosida throws a series of punches but Belanger avoids them all with ease.

Belanger lands a head kick. Eleosida smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Belanger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Eleosida closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eleosida lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Eleosida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Belanger pinned against the cage. Belanger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Eleosida changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Belanger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Belanger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Eleosida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Eleosida sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
