The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werdum slaps away a takedown attempt from Jameson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jameson darts in looking for a takedown but Werdum gets double underhooks and turns Jameson into the cage.
We've been told by Werdum's head coaches at High Kicks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jameson. Werdum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Werdum throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jameson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jameson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Werdum's waist but Werdum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jameson off to one side.
Anderson Werdum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyler Jameson.

Werdum is looking to advance position but Jameson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Werdum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jameson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jameson has his foot on Werdum's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Werdum works his way back into a safe position though.

Jameson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Werdum has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jameson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
