PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Harris (ranked 3732 p4p, 23519 weight class) and Jank Stank (ranked 414 p4p, 658 weight class). Stank is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: lil darkie x eddison - drink my piss you nasty slut yeah yeah. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Stank scores with a four punch combination!
A chopping leg kick lands by Harris.
Harris scores with a jab to the head.
Stank shoots for a takedown but Harris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stank avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stank doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stank fails to land the takedown.
Stank walks into a stiff left hand from Harris.
Stank throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stank throws a series of punches but Harris moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Harris fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Stank checks it well.
Stank is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Harris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Harris throws a good cross that connects.

Harris scores with a nice right hand.
Stank throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stank off to one side.
Max Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jank Stank.
Stank fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Harris dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stank just misses with a punch to the body.
Harris jabs Stank to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Harris dips to his left and cracks Stank with an uppercut!
Max Harris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Harris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harris has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Stank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Harris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Harris is adopting a defensive guard.
Stank tries to free his leg and advance position but Harris is retaining full guard.
Harris keeping moving, preventing Stank from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.

Stank wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment.

Harris's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Harris throws a big right hand that misses.
Stank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stank looking for a sweep. Not yet Stank, not yet.
Harris is stalling in the full guard.
Harris passes Stank's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Harris wants to free his trapped foot but Stank is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Harris gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Harris lands a jab to the head.
Stank moves out of range as Harris strikes.
Harris works over Stank's head and body with a nice combination.
Harris connects with a body shot.
Harris throws a body shot but no joy.
Stank looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stank throws a body punch but Harris moves out of range.
Stank checks a low kick from Harris.
Harris swings for the body but Stank moves out of range.
Harris dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Harris connects with a body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stank avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stank scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stank shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Harris takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harris uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stank.
Harris connects with a right that clearly hurt Stank. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Harris proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Stank collapses and taps out under the pressure!
