Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kahdi Mandinos (ranked 2444 p4p, 3187 weight class) and DJ Costune (ranked 337 p4p, 430 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Costune's choice of entrance music: God Save The Queen. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandinos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Costune fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Costune throws the left hand but Mandinos avoids the punch easily.
We've been hearing reports that Mandinos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Costune keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Costune looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Costune throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Costune ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Costune throws a body punch but Mandinos moves out of range.
Costune smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Costune throws a series of punches but Mandinos avoids them all with ease.
Mandinos drops down looking for a counter takedown but Costune sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costune scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Mandinos counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mandinos wants to control from the top but Costune keeps moving.

Costune has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mandinos is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Costune's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mandinos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like DJ Costune has been cut.
DJ Costune seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mandinos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Costune stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Costune wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kahdi Mandinos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mandinos moves in looking to clinch but Costune pushes him off.
Costune scores with a one two! Mandinos had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mandinos is defended easily by Costune.
Costune lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Costune.

It looks like Kahdi Mandinos has been cut.

Costune is pawing at Mandinos, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Mandinos's nose. Mandinos is badly hurt! Costune pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Mandinos tries desperately to hold on but Costune is relentless in his assault! As Mandinos receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Costune away and this one is in the books!
