Cruzier comes to the cage accompanied by The Boss. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruzier looks to land a combination but Poirier avoids it well.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Cruzier misses with a double jab.
Cruzier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poirier circles away quickly and effectively.
A combination from Cruzier does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Cruzier. Those never looked like landing.
Cruzier misses with a series of wild punches.

Poirier gets the takedown into side control.
Cruzier is looking to get back to his feet here but Poirier is keeping cool and he's managed to take Cruzier's back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poirier is working for a rear naked choke. Cruzier is not defending it well and Poirier has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Cruzier refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Cruzier's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
