Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between jared wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jared wagner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, jared wagner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up but wagner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
wagner shoots in but Stone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
wagner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stone as he avoids it easily.
wagner moves out of range of the body kick from Stone.
wagner moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

wagner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard.
Stone is looking to stand back up but wagner counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Stone.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

wagner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time wagner.

wagner is looking for a kimura but Stone is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for wagner to get the leverage.

wagner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stone defends it well.
Stone is trying to maintain the position but wagner is very close to passing his half guard.
wagner stops Stone from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
wagner shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but wagner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jared wagner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

wagner is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - wagner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stone clinches but wagner breaks the clinch

and wagner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stone's guard.
Stone is pulling down on wagner's head. It's preventing any offense from wagner, at least for the moment.
Stone is trying to control the position but wagner postures up.

Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Stone is looking to stand up but wagner isn't so interested in that idea.

Stone is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! wagner rolls with it to try and escape but Stone cranks on the arm and wagner is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
