Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jobber Joe (ranked 2612 p4p, 4707 weight class) and Apollo Turner (ranked 136 p4p, 228 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jobber Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Apollo Turner!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Joe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Joe lands with a shot to the body.
Jab, jab by Joe - just one landing.
Joe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Turner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Joe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Turner misses with a series of wild punches.
Joe takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Turner tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Joe misses with a looping right.
Turner unleashes a big counter combination but Joe bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Turner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Joe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Turner ducks under a wild hook from Joe.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Joe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joe connects with a nice looking jab.
Turner takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Joe's corner calls for a 1-2. Joe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Turner is rocked!
Joe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Turner is still on wobbly legs! Can Joe finish him?
Jobber Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe looks to score with a jab to the body but Turner is just out of range.
Joe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Turner seems to have recovered his senses.
Turner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Joe throws out the jab.
Turner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Turner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Joe just misses with a punch to the body.
Joe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner swings away with a leg kick that misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Joe misses the target.
Joe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Turner.
A combination from Turner does no damage.
Turner misses with a combination
and Joe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Turner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Joe drops Turner with a beautiful combination! Turner stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Joe is looking for the KO!

It looks like Apollo Turner has been cut.
Joe is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Turner misses with a two punch combination.
Joe swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Joe cracks Turner on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Turner falls backwards against the cage. Joe follows up with more strikes that drop Turner to his knees. Joe keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Turner! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jobber Joe!
Jobber Joe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
