Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dyson (ranked 4100 p4p, 25167 weight class) and Kurt Span (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Span tries for a takedown but Dyson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dyson connects with a high kick.
Dyson throws a head kick that misses.
Span tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Some wild striking there from Span.
A looping hook to the body misses from Span. Dyson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Span scores with a jab to the jaw.
Span shoots in for a takedown but Dyson shows good takedown defense.
Dyson throws a big counter combination but Span scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Dyson throws a combination. Span tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Dyson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Span scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Span throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dyson.
A nice leg kick from Dyson, right into the meat of the thigh.
Span throws the kick towards the body but Dyson avoids it.
As Span tries to get set, Dyson tries to push him back and clinch up but Span manages to avoid the attempt.

A left and a right from Dyson both land. Nice combination.

Span is rocked!
Span walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dyson.
A punch combination from Dyson misses.
Dyson feints with a jab and clips Span right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Span is sent crashing into the canvas and Dyson leaps in for the kill! Span tries to get to his feet but Dyson is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Span is in need of a savior and steps in!
