Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Engel Brotheamus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake colby is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brotheamus clinches but colby breaks the clinch

and colby decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brotheamus's guard.

Brotheamus swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and colby is now in Brotheamus's guard. A big mistake from Brotheamus there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brotheamus wants to get back to his feet but colby is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brotheamus lands with a right hand.

Brotheamus gets caught flat footed, as colby shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brotheamus is on top in guard.

Brotheamus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brotheamus drives through and clinches with colby against the cage.
colby goes for a takedown attempt but Brotheamus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Brotheamus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. colby looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Brotheamus's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Brotheamus lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

colby won't enjoy being in this position. Brotheamus looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - colby is tapping - it's over boys! Brotheamus picks up the submission victory!
