PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tree Fortay (ranked 1781 p4p, 1372 weight class) and James Quin (ranked 189 p4p, 157 weight class). Fortay comes to the cage accompanied by The Choice Is Yours. James Quin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Quin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fortay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Quin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fortay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Quin. Quin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Fortay has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

That was a close round but I would say that Tree Fortay will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fortay maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Quin could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Fortay has cracked it and Quin is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Fortay!
