Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gael Grappler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adio Harris!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grappler clinches.

Grappler turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee asks Grappler politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Grappler prefers to stall for the moment though.

Grappler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Grappler takes a little break here. Harris wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris tries to escape but Grappler is in control.
Grappler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grappler lands some shots froms side control.
Check out the look on Grappler's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Grappler works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Harris is rocked!
Grappler controls the position from side control.
Grappler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.
Harris parries the strikes from Grappler easily there. Grappler is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Harris to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grappler is chipping away with strikes.
Harris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grappler in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Grappler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Grappler has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Grappler is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Grappler grinds an elbow into Harris's temple.
Harris is still in real trouble! Can Grappler finish him?
Grappler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Harris's shoulder. That is not cool.
Harris seems to have recovered his senses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grappler continues to stall.
Harris wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Grappler is staying tight to Harris's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Grappler throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Grappler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Grappler gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Grappler tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Harris's elbow.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Grappler.
Grappler lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Grappler is stalling here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Grappler pushes Harris up against the cage in a clinch.
Grappler lands an elbow inside.
Grappler lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Adio Harris has been cut.
Grappler misses with an elbow over the top.
Grappler creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Harris! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Grappler.
