Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Ravese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauro Henrique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ravese comes to the cage accompanied by Shining Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Ravese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lauro Henrique!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henrique changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ravese looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ravese is looking to regain half guard here but Henrique keeps moving and retains side control.
Henrique working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ravese regains half guard, as Henrique was trying to land strikes.

Henrique is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ravese defends it well.

Henrique seems to be working for a kimura but Ravese defends the submission attempt.

Henrique wants to pass the guard but Ravese is defending well.
Henrique stalling away here and it's allowed Ravese to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Ravese is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Henrique has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Henrique forces his way into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ravese regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ravese working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Henrique.
Henrique wants to control from the top but Ravese keeps moving.

Henrique has gone for a leg lock! Ravese slips out almost immediately though and dives into Henrique's guard.

Henrique manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Henrique goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ravese is on top in guard.

Henrique working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ravese has passed into half guard!

Ravese is trying to work for a kimura but Henrique is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ravese is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Henrique sees it coming and defends easily.
Henrique manages to get to full guard.
Ravese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henrique swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Ravese will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Henrique feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ravese working for a triangle but Henrique defends it easily.

Henrique is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ravese is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ravese has escaped and now he's on top!

Henrique has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ravese is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Henrique.
Henrique is breathing heavily.

Ravese wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Henrique, who protects the arm well.
Henrique regains half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henrique is trying to stand back up but Ravese is controlling him

Ravese is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Henrique actively working from the bottom here.
Henrique throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Ravese manages to pass to side control.
Henrique is trying to get back to half guard.

Henrique is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Ravese is trying to get an arm triangle but Henrique is defending well.
Henrique tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Henrique manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Henrique is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ravese doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Henrique.
Nick Ravese overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Henrique thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ravese to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Ravese dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Ravese.
Henrique wants to get back to his feet.

Ravese in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Henrique is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
