The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner throws a series of punches but Schultz avoids them all with ease.
Schultz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Turner fails to land with a series of punches.
Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Schultz loads up on a big right hand but Turner slips the punch.
Turner throws a leg kick that is checked
and Schultz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Schultz checks a leg kick.
Schultz blocks a head kick by Turner.
Turner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Apollo Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schultz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Schultz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Schultz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Apollo Turner has been cut.

Turner misses with a low kick as Schultz jumps back.
Schultz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Turner lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Turner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Turner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Turner moves out of range of the strikes.
Turner tries to bum rush Schultz with a series of wild strikes but Schultz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Schultz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Turner throws a nice looking combination but Schultz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Turner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Schultz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Turner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Schultz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Schultz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Turner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Schultz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Turner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schultz finds it's way round the side to connect with Turner's head.
Schultz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Turner misses with a double jab
and Schultz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turner is still on wobbly legs! Can Schultz finish him?

Turner seems to have recovered his senses.

Schultz digs a good body shot into Turner's ribs.

Schultz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
