Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Samran Darweshi (ranked 6313 p4p, 1822 weight class) and Marty Robbins (ranked 726 p4p, 269 weight class). Robbins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Marty Robbins - Big Iron kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darweshi lands a head shot.

Robbins pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A slow jab from Robbins misses its intended target.
Robbins displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Darweshi throws out the jab.

Darweshi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Robbins has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Robbins digs a good body shot into Darweshi's ribs.
Robbins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice uppercut lands for Robbins. That snapped Darweshi's head back.

Robbins cracks Darweshi with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Darweshi is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Darweshi is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Darweshi could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Marty Robbins!
Marty Robbins is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Marty Robbins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
