Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blessed Barny (ranked 4755 p4p, 4803 weight class) and Nate Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barny swivels and escapes.
Barny half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Barny gets caught flat footed, as Wright shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Barny escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wright gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barny is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wright is aware though and is defending well.

Wright wanted to stand there but Barny had control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blessed Barny decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
