Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bracho.
Bracho moves into the clinch.
Bracho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bracho throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bracho tests Gaia's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bracho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gaia pinned against the cage. Gaia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bracho has gone for a leg lock! Gaia slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bracho's guard.
Gaia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bracho's guard.

Gaia is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Gaia lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bracho is defending against the submission attempts here by Gaia.

Bracho is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Gaia is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
