Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Furioto (ranked 1085 p4p, 2293 weight class) and Conor Aldo (ranked 142 p4p, 284 weight class). Furioto comes to the cage accompanied by 韻踏合組合 - . The crowd seem to be enjoying Aldo's choice of entrance music: The Foggy Dew. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furioto goes for a double leg but Aldo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aldo continues to drive forward.
Aldo looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Furioto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aldo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Furioto has Aldo in his guard.

Furioto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aldo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aldo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing good reports from Furioto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Aldo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Furioto swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Furioto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Aldo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Furioto has tightened it up now! Aldo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Maximus Furioto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Conor Aldo was interviewed post fight and said 'I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed.
I will never apologize for taking a shot.
