Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pot Kantai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Paleschi!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paleschi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kantai paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paleschi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kantai looks to land a left hand but Paleschi moved out of range nicely.
Paleschi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kantai circles away quickly and effectively.
Kantai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Paleschi on the side of the head.
Paleschi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Paleschi shoots for a takedown but Kantai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pot Kantai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Paleschi.

Paleschi closes the distance and clinches up with Kantai, looking for a takedown. Paleschi pushes Kantai against the cage but Kantai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Paleschi shoots in looking for a takedown. Kantai tries to sprawl out of it but Paleschi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kantai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kantai here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
