Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rhymin Slayin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spencer Rubenstein!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubenstein lands a really nice looking cross but Slayin seems unphased.

It looks like Rhymin Slayin has been cut.
Slayin throws a hook but Rubenstein blocks it.

and Slayin counters with a right hand to the body.

We've been told by Slayin's head coaches at Total Impact MMA/KT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Spencer Rubenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rubenstein lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rubenstein catches Slayin napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Slayin to the canvas!

Rubenstein shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Slayin eats them both and turns towards Rubenstein to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Slayin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Slayin lands a nice shot to the body.
Slayin connects with a knee to the head.
Rubenstein is breathing heavily.
Slayin tries to land a knee to the head but Rubenstein blocks with his arms.
Slayin throws a head punch that misses.
Rubenstein has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The fighters circling - Rubenstein throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Slayin looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Slayin lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rubenstein will feel that in the morning.
Rubenstein falls off balance throwing a combination
and Slayin counters with a solid body kick.
Slayin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Slayin digs a good body shot into Rubenstein's ribs.
Slayin lands with a slapping head kick.
Slayin connects with a right that clearly hurt Rubenstein. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Slayin proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Rubenstein collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rhymin Slayin!
Rhymin Slayin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
