PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dany Crosby (ranked 101 p4p, 198 weight class) and Aku Serronen (ranked 15 p4p, 30 weight class). Aku Serronen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serronen throws a front kick aimed at Crosby's knee but Crosby avoids it well.
It looked like Crosby was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Serronen.
Serronen throws a right hand that misses
and Crosby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Serronen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Crosby misses with an uppercut
and Serronen counters with a big head kick but Crosby shrugs it off.
Serronen looks to throw the jab but Crosby is out of range.
Crosby has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crosby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Serronen manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Serronen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Crosby stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Serronen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Crosby throws a hook to the side of Serronen's head but Serronen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Crosby cracks Serronen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Serronen cracks Crosby with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Serronen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Crosby to stand back up!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Serronen measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Crosby! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
