Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aslan Bagrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aslan Bagrian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teddy Bear!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagrian with a nice cross.
Bagrian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bear manages to avoid it.
Bagrian fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch lands to the side of Bear 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bagrian thows a body shot but no joy.
Bagrian throws a nice looking combination but Bear bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bagrian throws a looping overhand right but Bear ducks down to avoid it.
Bagrian shoots in for a double leg but Bear sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bear shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bear was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bagrian is trying desperately to improve position.

Bear is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bagrian can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Bagrian has given up his back here.
Bagrian manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bear's guard. Nice work there by Bagrian.
Bear is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bagrian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bear is on top in guard.

Bagrian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bagrian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bagrian is breathing heavily.
Bear advances position into side control!

Bear decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bagrian to his feet.

Bear misses with a straight right.

Bear shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bear showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bear is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bagrian works his way to full guard. Good work.

Bear drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bear jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bear can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bagrian is looking to escape.
Bagrian wants to hold on but Bear pushes him away.
Bagrian holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bear tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Bear looking to ground and pound but Bagrian is blocking nicely.
Bagrian is looking to get to half guard.
Bagrian tries to improve his position but instead Bear has taken his back!

Bear is persistently looking for the submission but Bagrian is defending it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Bear dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bagrian lands a jab-cross combination.
Bear keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bagrian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bear throws out the jab.
Bagrian works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Bagrian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bear is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bagrian manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bagrian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bear is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bagrian is trying to work for a kimura but Bear is defending well.
Bagrian is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Bear moves into full guard.
Bagrian wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving.
Bagrian looking to sit in guard and control but Bear gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bagrian tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bagrian had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bear is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bagrian Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bear's back instead.

Bagrian is trying to stick to Bear's back but Bear is turning into Bagrian. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bagrian's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bear.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aslan Bagrian will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bagrian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Bagrian moves into range and connects with a jab.

Bear escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bagrian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bear circles away quickly and effectively.

and Bagrian counters with a three punch combo that has Bear backing up. Bear nods at Bagrian to acknowledge the strikes.
Bear throws a right and a left that Bagrian avoids nicely.

Bagrian rushes Bear and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bagrian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bear tries to clinch up but Bagrian circles away and keeps his distance.
Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bagrian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bagrian throws a series of punches but Bear avoids them all with ease.

Bear lands a really nice looking cross but Bagrian seems unphased.
Bear with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bagrian to score with a decent uppercut.

and Bear decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bagrian's guard.
Bear wants to control from the top but Bagrian keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bear is pushing down on Bagrian's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bagrian is fighting to maintain full guard but Bear has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bear is looking to advance position but Bagrian won't allow it.
Bagrian wants to get back to full guard.

Bear is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bagrian has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bagrian tries to roll over but Bear keeps him under control.
Bear throwing shots but Bagrian is blocking nicely.
Bagrian tries to get to full guard but Bear has control of the leg.

And that's the end of the fight!
Teddy Bear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bear has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
