PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leon Pasquale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuji Yamohara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pasquale comes to the cage accompanied by Fight Like A Brave. The crowd seem to be enjoying Yamohara's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman by Metallica. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pasquale swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Yamohara is now in Pasquale's guard. A big mistake from Pasquale there, giving up the dominant position!

Pasquale fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yamohara sprawls well initially but Pasquale persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pasquale has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Yamohara tightens his grip and picks Pasquale up, before dumping him to the ground. Pasquale manages to land in guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pasquale had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Yamohara is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pasquale Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Yamohara's back instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pasquale connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Yamohara to escape the position.

Yamohara won't enjoy being in this position. Pasquale looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Yamohara is tapping - it's over boys! Pasquale picks up the submission victory!
