Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chad Armstrong (ranked 2102 p4p, 4135 weight class) and Wang Wei (ranked 220 p4p, 383 weight class). Chad Armstrong is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Wei!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wei misses with the combination.
Armstrong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wei circles away quickly and effectively.
Armstrong lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wei has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A low kick from Wei misses
and Armstrong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Armstrong avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Armstrong fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Armstrong has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Armstrong looks to land a combination but Wei avoids it well.
Wei cracks Armstrong with an open hand slap.

Armstrong clinches with his opponent.

Wei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Armstrong takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wei looks to land a right hand but Armstrong moved out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Armstrong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Armstrong misses with a few strikes there.

Wei throws a wild body kick that Armstrong sees coming a mile off.
A right-left combo lands from Armstrong.
Armstrong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wei connects with the punch.
Armstrong is looking to clinch.
Armstrong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wei throws a right and a left that Armstrong avoids nicely.
Armstrong takes one on the button.

and Wei counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wei paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Armstrong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wang Wei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid leg kick lands there for Wei.
Wei misses with a looping left.

Armstrong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Wei slips a jab and a cross from Armstrong.
Wei throws out a powerful jab.
Armstrong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wei walks into a stiff left hand from Armstrong.
Armstrong lands a jab to the head.
Wei swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Wei looks to move away, Armstrong throws a big counter combo but Wei just gets out of the way.
Armstrong doesn't manage to clinch there - Wei circles away.
Wei throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Armstrong scores with a four punch combination!
Armstrong feints a jab promting Wei to slip. Armstrong then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wei slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Wei drops Armstrong with a left right combo! Wei follows him down to the ground into side control.

Armstrong is rocked!
Armstrong is breathing heavily.

Wei decides to stand back up.
Oh Armstrong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wei lands a brutal uppercut that launches Armstrong off his feet! Armstrong tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wang Wei!
After the fight, Wang Wei was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
