Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Boxaaja (ranked 665 p4p, 2906 weight class) and Daniel Yonic (ranked 100 p4p, 441 weight class). Boxaaja comes to the cage accompanied by Dark Side - Blind Channel. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Yonic!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxaaja swings for the body but Yonic moves out of range.
No joy there for Boxaaja, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yonic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Yonic tries to clinch up.
Boxaaja lands a glancing blow to the side of Yonic's head.
Boxaaja moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Yonic dives in for a single leg takedown but Boxaaja sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Paul Boxaaja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Yonic.

It looked like Boxaaja was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Yonic.
Daniel Yonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yonic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boxaaja's hands.

The ground and pound from Yonic seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Yonic tries to move to mount but Boxaaja blocks the move with his legs.
Yonic is working Boxaaja over with some ground and pound from side control.
Boxaaja pushes Yonic away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yonic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Yonic connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Boxaaja some visible discomfort.
Yonic fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Boxaaja is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Yonic has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Yonic throws a strike aimed at the side of Boxaaja's head but Boxaaja avoids it well.
Boxaaja tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yonic with the ground and pound but Boxaaja regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are battling for position here. Boxaaja manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Boxaaja will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Yonic lands a slapping body shot.
Yonic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Yonic shoots in looking for a takedown. Boxaaja tries to sprawl out of it but Yonic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boxaaja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boxaaja ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yonic moves away.
Yonic misses with a wild combination.
Yonic is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boxaaja lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Yonic falls backwards - clearly groggy! Boxaaja dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
