Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Ivanov (ranked 5860 p4p, 4235 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 434 p4p, 384 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Ivanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 52 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Labosky clinches.

Labosky gets control of Ivanov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Labosky will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ivanov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Labosky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ivanov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Labosky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ivanov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Labosky avoids it really well and circles away.

Ivanov closes the distance and clinches up with Labosky, looking for a takedown. Ivanov pushes Labosky against the cage but Labosky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Labosky seems to have recovered his senses.
Labosky misses with a head kick.
Ivanov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ivanov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Labosky can do to turn this around?

Ivanov shoots in looking for a takedown. Labosky tries to sprawl out of it but Ivanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Labosky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Labosky misses with a hook. Ivanov ducked under it nicely.
As Labosky tries to get set, Ivanov tries to push him back and clinch up but Labosky manages to avoid the attempt.
Ivanov has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Labosky.

Labosky breaks the clinch.
Labosky comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Ivanov clinches.
Ivanov jumps guard but Labosky stands there with Ivanov around his waist. Ivanov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Labosky tries to break the clinch but Ivanov is controlling the position.
Ivanov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Labosky walks away with a smile on his face. Ivanov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Labosky prevents Ivanov from breaking the clinch.
Labosky using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ivanov has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Labosky wants to get back to striking at distance but Ivanov won't allow it.

Labosky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ivanov pulls Labosky in close to his closed guard and prevents Labosky from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Labosky wants to pass the guard but Ivanov is keeping the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ivanov has his hands on Labosky's head, controlling the position.
Ivanov is trying to control the position but Labosky postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Labosky gets tackled into the cage by Ivanov. Ivanov maintains the clinch.
Ivanov wants to get back to striking at distance but Labosky won't allow it.

Ivanov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Labosky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

I think Labosky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
