Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Smif (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smif comes to the cage accompanied by Run This Town. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin is looking to clinch but Smif is avoiding it.
Carwin shoots in for a takedown but Smif shows good takedown defense.
Carwin wants to clinch.
Carwin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smif paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smif circles away from the clinch attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smif.
Smif misses with a double jab.
Smif tries to bum rush Carwin with a series of wild strikes but Carwin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carwin tries to close the distance and clinch but Smif swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A punch lands to the side of Carwin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Carwin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smif throws a front kick aimed at Carwin's knee but Carwin avoids it well.
Carwin slips a jab and a cross from Smif.
Smif throws a head kick but Carwin moves out of range.
Carwin wants to clinch up but Smif keeps it at a distance.
Matt Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smif!
It looks like Matt Carwin has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smif scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Carwin slips a jab and a cross from Smif.
Smif circles away from the clinch attempt.

Smif closes the distance and clinches.
Carwin misses with a knee strike.
Smif leaning his opponent against the cage.
Carwin creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Smif is looking to break free of the clinch but Carwin has double underhooks.
Smif escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smif connects with a right hand. Carwin shakes it off.
Carwin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Carwin wants to clinch
letting Smif counter with a right hand.
Smif throws a nice looking combination but Carwin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smif looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Carwin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carwin there as he acknowledges the shot.

Carwin looks gassed!
Smif stuffs the takedown.
Smif closes the distance and clinches.
Smif breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smif tries to land a leg kick but Carwin saw it coming and moves away.
No joy there for Smif, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Smif counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Danga de danga de dang - Smif scores with a four punch combination!
Smif lands a hook that stumbles Carwin back into the cage. Smif follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Carwin to the canvas! Smif pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Carwin has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
