Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Gabel (ranked 1649 p4p, 2760 weight class) and Xin Chan (ranked 238 p4p, 378 weight class). Gabel comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne- Right Above It. On his way into the cage it seems that Scott Gabel has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Scott Gabel seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gabel tries to avoid it but Chan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gabel to the ground. Gabel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've been told by Gabel's head coaches at DK MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gabel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gabel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chan back to the cage. Gabel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chan.

Scott Gabel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xin Chan.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chan.
Chan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gabel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Chan shoots in for a takedown but Gabel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chan shoots in looking for a takedown but Gabel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gabel cracks Chan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Gabel counters with a stiff right hand.

Gabel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chan's hands.
Chan is still on wobbly legs! Can Gabel finish him?
Gabel connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Chan covering up! Gabel comes in with a big uppercut and Chan goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
