Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Theodore Epicity (ranked 2179 p4p, 2065 weight class) and Mako Akumba (ranked 301 p4p, 287 weight class). Epicity comes to the ring accompanied by Tempest by Deftones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Theodore Epicity!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mako Akumba!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akumba misses with a head kick.
Akumba stalks Epicity and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Epicity's face. Epicity staggers backwards, shaken.
Epicity with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Epicity blocks a head kick by Akumba.
Akumba jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Epicity has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Akumba lands a head kick!
Akumba looks to clinch
and Akumba takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Epicity throws a head kick that misses.
Akumba scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Akumba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Epicity misses with a wild body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Epicity slips under a jab from Akumba.
Akumba dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Epicity misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Akumba.
Epicity is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akumba.

Epicity scores with a punch to the head.
Epicity throws a lazy uppercut
and Akumba counters with a big head kick but Epicity shrugs it off.
Akumba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab lands there for Epicity.
Epicity takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Akumba looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Akumba clinches up with Epicity and pushes him back against the ropes.

Epicity breaks the clinch.
Mako Akumba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akumba lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akumba throws a head kick but Epicity moves out of range.
Akumba tries a head kick but it misses.
Akumba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Epicity waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Akumba.

Akumba scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Epicity doesn't seem bothered though.
Akumba doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Akumba takes one on the button.
Epicity moves out of range as Akumba strikes.
Akumba swings widly with a right hand
and Akumba takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Mako Akumba has been cut.
Epicity throws a switch kick that catches Akumba on the top of the head and drops him to the canvas! Akumba looks hurt - I'm not sure he's going to get back up! The referee starts the count but calls it off at seven as Akumba flops around on the canvas, clearly in no position to continue! This fight is over!
