Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Turner (ranked 4269 p4p, 3665 weight class) and Wesley Janssen (ranked 560 p4p, 493 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Janssen shoots in looking for a takedown. Turner tries to sprawl out of it but Janssen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Turner throws a right hand that Janssen ducks under and follows up with a left that Janssen also avoids with ease.
Janssen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sterling Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Janssen.
Janssen tries to clinch up but Turner circles away and keeps his distance.
Janssen takes a swing at Turner's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Janssen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Turner to the mat! Turner manages to get full guard.

Turner wants to get back to his feet but Janssen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Turner has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Janssen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Turner.
