Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mogens Pedersen (ranked 3004 p4p, 2167 weight class) and Aisland Bounser (ranked 399 p4p, 320 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mogens Pedersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aisland Bounser!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedersen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Pedersen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bounser did well to prevent Pedersen getting side control.
Well, if Pedersen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bounser is looking to improve his position.
Bounser is trying to maintain the position but Pedersen is very close to passing his half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bounser can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pedersen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pedersen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bounser sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Pedersen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bounser closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bounser lands in his opponent's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bounser working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Pedersen pulls Bounser in to control the position.

Pedersen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bounser manages to get himself to full guard.

Bounser is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pedersen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pedersen's back!

Bounser throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Bounser counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pedersen shoots in looking for a takedown. Bounser tries to sprawl out of it but Pedersen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bounser manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bounser fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pedersen to the ground. Bounser is now in Pedersen's guard.

Pedersen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bounser defends well.

Bounser is in close to Pedersen's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Mogens Pedersen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bounser stopping the sweep attempt from Pedersen.
Pedersen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bounser's guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aisland Bounser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Pedersen shoots for a takedown but Bounser saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Bounser counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Pedersen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bounser is staying active underneath Pedersen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bounser tries to roll over but Pedersen keeps him under control.
Pedersen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bounser does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pedersen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bounser has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bounser has a hand on Pedersen's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Pedersen takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Bounser is squirming around, avoiding Pedersen's attempts to control the action.

Pedersen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bounser is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bounser and Pedersen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pedersen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pedersen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bounser is trying to escape the position but Pedersen is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pedersen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bounser struggling a bit here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bounser stuffs the takedown.
Pedersen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mogens Pedersen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pedersen.
Bounser was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Bounser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bounser does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pedersen fails with the takedown
and Bounser counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bounser lands a big shot that drops Pedersen! Can he finish him?

Pedersen is rocked!

And that's the end of the fight!
Aisland Bounser comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bounser has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
