Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isai Anderson (ranked 6433 p4p, 3717 weight class) and Zhang Wei (ranked 636 p4p, 463 weight class). Isai Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Zhang Wei!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wei throws a hook but Anderson avoids it easily.

Anderson gets a double leg takedown into Wei's guard.
Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Wei keeps moving.
Wei keeping full guard, as Anderson tries to pass.
Wei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wei is adopting a defensive guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson throws a hook to the side of Wei's head but Wei sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Anderson slips a straight right by Wei.

Anderson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wei finds it's way round the side to connect with Anderson's head.

Wei lands a jab-cross combination.
A punch combination from Wei misses.
Wei misses with a few strikes there.
Wei stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wei wants it to stay on the feet.
Anderson goes for a double leg but Wei avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wei continues to drive forward.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wei tries to move to mount but Anderson blocks the move with his legs.

Wei lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Wei is working Anderson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Wei is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well.

Anderson tries to bench press Wei off him but Wei keeps the position.
Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wei takes a little break here. Anderson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Wei throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wei throws a nice looking combination but Anderson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wei throws a right hand that Anderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Anderson also avoids with ease.
Horrible takedown attempt by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Wei, which made it look bad.

Wei throws a shot from downtown. Anderson moves away and avoids it.
Anderson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Wei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.

Wei might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Anderson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Anderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wei circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Wei.
The crowd cheers as Wei lands an impressive looking overhand right. Anderson doesn't seem phased though.

Wei has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wei drops Anderson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Wei follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

In his post fight interview, Zhang Wei started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
