Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grey Ape (ranked 945 p4p, 1477 weight class) and Donald Trumpet (ranked 141 p4p, 216 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Grey Ape!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Trumpet!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Trumpet, as that shot connected.

Ape drives through and clinches with Trumpet against the cage.
Trumpet has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Ape obliges.
Ape utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Ape lands a knee to the body.

Ape's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ape lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ape jabs Trumpet to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ape misses with a body kick.
Ape connects with a nice looking jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ape darts in and clinches Trumpet up against the cage.
Ape working Trumpet over with knees to the body.
Trumpet misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Trumpet tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Trumpet lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ape backwards.
Trumpet has had enough of the clinch but Ape keeps him there for the moment.
Trumpet wants to get back to striking at distance but Ape won't allow it.
Ape unloads a knee to the mid-section.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trumpet misses with the head strike.
Ape misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Trumpet.
Ape stalling against the cage.
Ape misses with a knee to the head.
Trumpet scores with a nice hook to the head.

Ape manages to break the clinch.
Ape with a nice cross.
Trumpet walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ape misses the jab.
Trumpet uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ape.
Ape lands an overhand right.
Ape misses the jab.
Trumpet throws a jab when Ape was well out of range.
Trumpet misses with a combination
and Ape counters with a stiff right hand.
Ape is looking to score with low kicks.
Trumpet now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trumpet swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jab, jab by Trumpet - just one landing.
Ape tries to score with a low kick but Trumpet moves his leg out of the way.
Trumpet looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Trumpet fakes the leg kick and cracks Ape in the body.
Trumpet looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Trumpet buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Trumpet throws a body shot but no joy.
Trumpet lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Trumpet missing with a left hand there. Ape was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ape lands with a hook. Trumpet tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Trumpet checks a low kick from Ape.

Trumpet clinches with his opponent.
Trumpet blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Trumpet manages to break the clinch.
Trumpet cracks Ape with a good jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ape lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Trumpet has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Trumpet and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ape connects with a good right hand that stumbles Trumpet. Trumpet circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Trumpet connects with a looping right hand.
Ape looks to land a left hand but Trumpet moved out of range nicely.
Trumpet looks to score with a jab to the body but Ape is just out of range.
Ape is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ape throws a hook but Trumpet avoids it easily.
Nice body kick there by Ape.
Ape scores with a jab. Trumpet acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've been told by Ape's head coaches at Duranto Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ape slips under a jab.
Ape looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ape throws a big shot that misses.
Ape stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ape checks a leg kick nicely.
Grey Ape seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trumpet checks a leg kick nicely.
It seemed like Trumpet was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ape takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ape throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trumpet sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Trumpet swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Ape connects with a solid leg kick.
Trumpet misses the shot to the body.
Ape looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Ape looks to land a left hand but Trumpet moved out of range nicely.

Trumpet moves into the clinch successfully.

Trumpet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ape is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

A very excited looking Grey Ape made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
