Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uncle Abner!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Abner is looking for the big counter here.
Abner throws a leg kick that is checked

and Kowalski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kowalski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Abner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kowalski lands a nice short elbow.
Kowalski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Abner on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Kowalski lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kowalski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Abner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Kowalski is controlling the pace.

Abner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kowalski is working away from the top position though.
Kowalski is pressing down on Abner's thigh, looking to free his foot. Abner is holding on for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kowalski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Abner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Abner is trying to get back to full guard.
Kowalski controlling the action here.
Abner has hold of Kowalski's hands but Kowalski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kowalski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kowalski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Abner is just riding it out for now. Kowalski eventually gives up the hold.
Abner pushes Kowalski off looking to stand but Kowalski dives back in and keeps control.

Kowalski is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Abner has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kowalski lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

It looks like Uncle Abner has been cut.
Kowalski seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That has opened up Uncle Abner's cut even more.
Abner tries to get to full guard but Kowalski has control of the leg.
Kowalski scores with a big shot! Abner's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Abner! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Kowalski!
Peter Kowalski took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, MKFC for their support in the buildup to the fight.
