Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Shortman (ranked 3996 p4p, 2811 weight class) and Jess Pointer (ranked 124 p4p, 94 weight class). Jess Pointer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pointer holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Pointer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shortman pulls his head out easily.
We've been hearing that Shortman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shortman is looking to improve his position but Pointer isn't that keen on the idea.

Pointer is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Shortman is forced to tap! Great finish!
