PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Calogero Verdi (ranked 3729 p4p, 5091 weight class) and London Penn (ranked 482 p4p, 596 weight class). Verdi comes to the cage accompanied by CHAMPION. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verdi connects with a single shot there.

It looks like London Penn has been cut.
Penn shoots in but no luck this time.
Verdi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Penn ducks straight into an uppercut from Verdi and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Penn manages to regain guard straight away.

Penn is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Verdi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Penn's head.
Penn is still in real trouble! Can Verdi finish him?
Verdi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Verdi gets to his feet and stands over Penn, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Penn felt that one! Verdi unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Penn from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Calogero Verdi!
Calogero Verdi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
