The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barnes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Thunder 's sensitive parts.
Thunder throws a sloppy head kick and Barnes moves out of range easily.
Barnes tries a head kick but it misses.
Barnes scores with a leg kick.
Barnes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thunder .
Barnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Thunder looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Thunder takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Some bone on bone action there as Thunder checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A slow jab from Barnes misses its intended target.
Thunder is looking to counter with head kicks.
Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Thunder 's belly button to the back.
We've been told by Thunder 's head coaches at Finnish Elite Sport and Fitness Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Matt Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Matt Barnes has been cut.
Barnes connects with a right hand. Thunder shakes it off.
Thunder takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Barnes will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Thunder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thunder was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.

Barnes lands a big head kick that sends Thunder tumbling to the mat! Barnes takes a step backwards and waves Thunder back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Barnes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Thunder counters with a nice uppercut.

and Thunder counters with a big right hand! Oh Barnes is in trouble here! Thunder follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
