Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Salvacion (ranked 7048 p4p, 24449 weight class) and Virgin Mary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Salvacion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Virgin Mary's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A head kick misses from Mary.
Mary avoids a kick to the body.
Mary is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mary shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well.

Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown into Mary's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mary manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Mary has had enough of the clinch but Salvacion keeps him there for the moment.

Mary feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Salvacion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Salvacion pulls Mary in close to his closed guard and prevents Mary from doing any damage or advancing position.
Mary controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salvacion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mary is one step ahead there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Salvacion tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mary swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet.
Rico Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Virgin Mary.

Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mary avoids it really well and circles away.

Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Mary on that attempt.
Salvacion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mary's waist but Mary gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salvacion off to one side.

Mary replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mary manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salvacion on his heels. He'll look to pass Salvacion's guard now, I'm sure.

Well Mary has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
