Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brett Shoenfeld (ranked 1746 p4p, 4209 weight class) and Jerome Mice (ranked 107 p4p, 231 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoenfeld shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mice but Mice pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shoenfeld fails to land the takedown.

Shoenfeld drives through with a takedown into Mice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shoenfeld wants to pass the guard but Mice is keeping the position.
Shoenfeld passes Mice's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mice wants to get back to full guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Shoenfeld's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Shoenfeld is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mice can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mice keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mice is trying to reverse the position but instead Shoenfeld has taken his back - oops!
Mice rolls, trying to escape but Shoenfeld keeps control of the position.

Shoenfeld is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mice has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Shoenfeld wants to control the pace but Mice is squirming around nicely.
Mice has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Shoenfeld is hanging on to Mice's back as he tries to escape.
Mice wants to control his opponent's hands but Shoenfeld gets his hands free.
Mice tries to escape but Shoenfeld has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Shoenfeld is cranking Mice's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Mice! He's tightened the choke and Mice is tapping out!
