PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sone Fujimaro (ranked 1313 p4p, 1174 weight class) and Sunshine Okafor (ranked 177 p4p, 156 weight class). Okafor has chosen Bliss as his entrance music. Sunshine Okafor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okafor moves into range and connects with a jab.

Fujimaro slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fujimaro has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Spartan Mixed Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.

Fujimaro does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Fujimaro fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Okafor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fujimaro dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Okafor. That did some damage!

and Fujimaro makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Okafor really felt that one!

and Okafor counters with a crisp one two that drops Fujimaro! Okafor thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fujimaro to his feet! Fujimaro is in big trouble!

Fujimaro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Oh Fujimaro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Okafor counters with a big right hand! Oh Fujimaro is in trouble here! Okafor follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Sunshine Okafor tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
