This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 5 losses; Artur Azaryan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Samuel Turbitt!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Azaryan closes the distance and pushes Turbitt back into the cage.
Turbitt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Turbitt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Azaryan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Turbitt has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Turbitt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Azaryan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Azaryan wants to pass the guard but Turbitt is keeping the position.
Turbitt is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Azaryan rolls with it to try and escape but Turbitt cranks on the arm and Azaryan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
