The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortcut is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Foster.

Shortcut gets caught flat footed, as Foster shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Foster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Foster content to stall in guard here.
Foster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Shortcut looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Shortcut throws his legs up looking for a submission but Foster uses it to pass to side control.
Shortcut tries to buck Foster off but Foster is having none of it.

Foster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Shortcut tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shortcut can't do much from the bottom here.
Shortcut is looking for a sweep.

Shortcut is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shortcut looks to land a combination but Foster avoids it well.
Shortcut misses the shot to the body.
Foster avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shortcut throws a jab but it's blocked by Foster.
Shortcut connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
BOOM! Shortcut lands a beautiful left hook that drops Foster. Foster tries to recover but Shortcut is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Foster lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
