Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toran Roth (ranked 2282 p4p, 3692 weight class) and Joseph Telushikin (ranked 321 p4p, 488 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Toran Roth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Telushikin!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Telushikin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roth's guard.
Roth thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Telushikin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Roth is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Telushikin drops back looking for a leg! Roth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Roth manages to kick Telushikin off! Telushikin jumps back into Roth's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roth is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Telushikin defends well.

Telushikin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roth doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Telushikin.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Roth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Telushikin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Telushikin's back!

Roth is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Telushikin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Telushikin for a finish.
I really don't envy Telushikin right now.

You can see the frustration on Telushikin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Roth looking to break Telushikin's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Telushikin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Roth will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Roth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Telushikin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Telushikin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Roths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Toran Roth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Telushikin.

Telushikin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Roth as he avoids it easily.

Roth shoots in looking for a takedown but Telushikin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Roth's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Telushikin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Telushikin has Roth in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Telushikin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roth is aware though and is defending well.

Telushikin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roth manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Telushikin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A close second round but Joseph Telushikin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Oooooh!!! Roth has knocked Telushikin down with a huge combo! Roth steps away and waves a wobbly Telushikin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Well Roth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
