The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edmond turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rogers takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Edmond misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Edmond tries to clinch up but Rogers circles away and keeps his distance.
Rogers is trying to counter with his kicks.
Rayful Edmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edmond turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rogers moves away from the strike by Edmond.
Edmond misses with a body punch
enabling Rogers to counter with a crisp jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Edmond looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Edmond gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Edmond throws a body shot but no joy.

Rogers blocks a head kick by Edmond.
Rogers misses with a straight left.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rogers! But no joy.
Rogers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Edmond. Edmond obviously looking to wear him down.
Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Edmond sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rogers misses with a series of wild punches.
Edmond moves out of range as Rogers throws a body kick.

and Rogers counters with a nice uppercut.
Edmond lands with a right hand.
Edmond is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A low kick from Edmond is predictable there
and Rogers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A telegraphed right hand from Rogers misses the target.
Edmond tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice body punch from Edmond.
Edmond misses the shot to the body.
Edmond misses with a head kick.
No joy there for Edmond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Edmond forces Rogers back against the cage and clinches.

Edmond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Edmond moves into range and clinches up with Rogers.

Rogers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Edmond lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rogers backwards.

Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circling - Rogers throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Edmond looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Edmond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Edmond connects with a leg kick.
Edmond lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rogers will feel that in the morning.
Edmond seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Edmond feints with a jab and clips Rogers right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Rogers is sent crashing into the canvas and Edmond leaps in for the kill! Rogers tries to get to his feet but Edmond is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Rogers is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rayful Edmond!
After winning the bout, Rayful Edmond thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
