Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Tamarit (ranked 5637 p4p, 6393 weight class) and Jack Dawson (ranked 439 p4p, 471 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Dawson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamarit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dawson as he avoids it easily.

Tamarit darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Tamarit is trying to work for a kimura but Dawson is defending well.

Tamarit is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tamarit decides to stand up.

Dawson clinches up with Tamarit and pushes him back against the cage.

Tamarit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dawson walks away with a smile on his face. Tamarit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dawson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tamarit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dawson has managed to get both his arms back between Tamarit's legs - danger averted.

Tamarit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dawson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dawson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jack Dawson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A relieved looking Jack Dawson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
