The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Shumway. Mfer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shumway jabs Mfer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mfer throws a series of punches but Shumway avoids them all with ease.
Shumway lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Mfer misses the shot to the body.
Mfer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shumway was well out of range. Poor timing from Mfer.
Mfer takes one on the chin but seems OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mfer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mfer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Oh Shumway is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shumway really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mfer creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Shumway's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Shumway drops to his knees and Mfer pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
